I have been thinking a lot about this and finally decided to write about it.
Depending on your belief in the after life or maybe just an award for humanitarian efforts, I think there should be a special place for the RED team in "Heaven" or what ever you call it. If you think about the bigger picture movies are often restricted by larger budgets when it come to creative freedom. A lot of experimentation and creativity is set aside to appease investors who often are looking for as close to a sure thing when it come to the movie business. By eliminating the cost of film, lowering the price of the camera, speeding up the work flow, and allowing for greater visual quality at a lower price (at a large sacrifice by a guy who doesn't HAVE to do this but happens to have the resources), they are effectively creating a new generation of accessibility allowing for greater freedom to tell stories with. And I just think there should be a nice comfortable rocking chair for these guys and girls when they eventually go off to meet their maker.
Let everyone know what you think.
