Looking at the gallery, I am wondering if one must purchase the premium production pack in order to be able to use/mount the EVF. I have not seen an image with the EVF with a basic package.
Would one need to own the cage (minimum) in order to mount the EVF? It would be nice to start with a basic pack and EVF and build as need be.

I'm sure you will be able to mount it on the basic package, I'll even bet you can mount it without any package.

As long as you have the RED Arm, you'll be able to mount it anywhere without anything else since there's mounting holes directly on the camera. And since the RED arm comes with the EVF, then you're fine!

You could get two of them and start shooting the first RED 3D films. HAve them custom ordered so you can have one shooting red and the other green!
