If I'm going to be editing 2K 2:1 ProRes 422 files (transcoded from 4K 2:1 R3D files) for the offline edit, then reconnecting those files to QuickTime wrapped R3D files for color grading, and finishing with a 2.35:1 matte on 1080p ProRes 422 HQ - what resolution should the titling elements be and at what point should they be inserted into the project? We have a designer creating the titles so I just need to know what I should be requesting from them. One last note, while I'm working on the offline edit my plan was to just use temp titles created in FCP. If anyone can provide me with some advice I'd really appreciate it. Thanks, Tommy

Titles should be 1920x1080, matted for 2.35:1, same as your final...

Usually inserted in your conform/online (ie, at the end of the process...).

Thanks for the info! I have one additional question if you don't mind, if I want to go back and do a 2K DPX finish down the road should I also ask for a 2K (2048x1080 or 2048x1024?) version of the titles matted to 2.35:1 in addition to the 1920x1080 titles? I just want to make sure I'm on the same page as everyone else when it comes to delivering the titles. Thanks again, Tommy
