I am in the boat of wanting to wait around for the FF 6K Epic instead of the 5K Epic-X. I really want that Monstro & Full Frame capability. My soon to arrive Canon PL Superspeeds will cover FF35 no problem (except for the 18mm) and that best suits me.
I will probably be in the camp of buying an Epic and also buying a 5k Scarlet brain as well, for my lower budget clients.
My question to Red is, since the 6K Epic isn't coming out for a few months after the Epic-X, can us Redusers pay for the upgrade to Epic 6K, get everything except the brain, pay for the extra Scarlet 5K brain, and have a Scarlet system for the time being? That way I stay ahead of the curve, trade my Red One in for a layaway Epic, and put the Scarlet 5k to use right away?
That would be killer.
