Dear Sir's and Madams
I am considering the purchase of an older RED (around the 700 mark). I have heard from crews that the older bodies had hardware issues such as overheating. I have been advised that one can upgrade the audio board's etc to make an older body on par with a newer body.
Does an older body, fully upgraded, have more hardware issues than a brand new out of the box RED? In the upgrade do they simply replace ALL the troublesome components? Has the machining on the PL mount significantly improved in the lifespan of production?
Thankyou for your time
