I am sorry this is so off topic but I had no where else to turn.

Anyone have one of those Botero large collapsible green screens, the big rectangular ones with rounded edges?

I cant collapse the thing to save my freaking life! It is like bad joke from B&H, there should seriously be some fine print that says "careful where you open, cause thats where it will live."

My wife keeps asking me to post here and ask. I did not want to bother but I dont think I can handle having a Green screen living room forever.

I know it some dual person twisting procedure, but there are no instructions and I cant contact the company (based out of Columbia I believe).

Anyone???

I would greatly appreciate it.

Best

I've got one... not fond of the fact it has a slight sheen on finish, making it a bit difficult to keep evenly lit. I much prefer the nylon stretch knit fabrics as they are very dull and help with the lighting. Plus, if you keep it collapsed, it stays wrinkled. Yuk!

Yes, they're tricky to collapse, but keep working with it. What you need to do is try twisting one way with one hand, and the other corner the opposite direction to get the fold started. I tend to forget the steps and look like a fool for a bit every time I take it out and try to put it back. Which I NEVER do in front of a client, for that very reason!

Packing it back is a great way to humble a "hot shot" PA or new grip on your shoot... :)

Ok we did it!!!! Thanks for the motivation and tips. With one person on either side holding it, I twisted on corner in on itself and the other person opposite of you walks the side in and you just need to feel it out...but it folds in three rings. Woohoo.

Thanks again! So before I slam this thread closed, anyone else suggest great collapsible screens (both composite and color backdrops) that they recommend. (preferably ones not made by small hands in foreign lands).

Cheers
