I just finished doing data management on a show. I have provided duplicate copies of LTO3-A data tape as an archival master to production, and have now recommended they verify the integrity of this library. As they are based in LA, it would be good to find a place there to do this verification. Can anyone here recommend a place to provide this service? I am thinking plaster city but I don't know LA well. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Chris,

We do LTO3A backups/verification of all of our projects. Since nobody has responded to you yet, I thought I'd throw out our name if you're interested. We're based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

www.universalpost.tv.

Contact me at russ(at)universalpost.tv if you want to inquire more. We have experience managing RED files for commercials to feature films.

Anyways, good luck with your search.

PlasterCITY does do LTO verification. If you haven't started work with Russell, feel free to contact one of our Post Producers Along with the check-sum, we can create an FTP database of your assets and custom labeling. We'd also be happy to discuss a bunch of other points off-forum that might be helpful.
PlasterCITY can be reached at

ask for Paul or Tunisha (some of us are at NAB this week).

micheel,

i will also be at nab and will hopefully see you there. for the record, plaster city was the first (and only) place i thought of in LA. i called on friday, was told i would be contacted by a post producer. then got a message from one of your post producers, then called back, and the game of phone tag was left with you guys being 'it'. i hope someone calls on monday, and that i see you personally in Vegas for a handshake and perhaps a beer.....

Russell. Thanks for the response. Much appreciated. I am currently looking in LA for my client. Again, thanks for responding though....
