Just watched the FreshDV video for the hpx300 where they discuss a method of compensating for partial flash frames. It's a basic idea, but seems to work...This can easily be done in post, but the hpx300 will do it in camera.

the big problem with this being that most of my partial frames don't show the second half in the next frame, making this technique useless :(
they discuss it at 10min30sec if anyone like me was searching for it.

Hmmm, ok...I guess it may depend on the duration of the flash and relative speed of the rolling shutter. The quicker the rolling shutter the less effective this approach?
