I'm hep! If it does leave some kinda goo after repeated use, what do you clean that off with? Acetone, TSP etc. I got by for years cleaning negs. with one of those atomic powered anti static brushes. Always worked great and now I get to use my index finger as a nice little green nitelite.
There was a recent thread on DPReview about using no-residue Scotch tape to do this. IIRC, the gist of the thread was:
A:"Can I do this?"
B:"You must be nuts"
C:"I've been doin this for years, works perfectly"
B:"You must be nuts"
C:"Why, it works perfectly?"
A:"Just tried it, worked perfectly"
B:"You must be nuts"
