www.redusergroupla.com.
Ted Schilowitz from RED will be showing their new range of RED PRO prime lenses. If you were not able to attend the Reduser supermeet in Las Vegas you will have an opportunity to see the RED PRO primes in action at the user group meet. Ted will debrief us on post NAB 2009 RED developments.
FilmLight will unveil their RED-centric Baselight Transfer (http://www.filmlight.ltd.uk/pdf/datasheets/FL-BL-DS-0295-BLTransfer.pdf) for the first time in Los Angeles exclusively for the members of the RED user group. Baselight Tranfser (BLT) is a real time prep and delivery digital telecine. It works with the RED as well as a variety of other formats.
FilmLight's Peter Postma will present a seminar on color management for RED digital intermediate workflows. Color management is one of the least understood subjects and we'll all be able to learn from this expert presentation.
Optitek will show their Red One Camera LCD Clip-on finder, PL Nikon Mount with iris ring and Optimator, the back focus adjustment tool.
CoreMelt is giving away two copies of Pigment V2 (http://www.coremelt.com/), an advanced GPU accelerated set of color correction tools for FCP, allowing you to perform grades, adjustments and tweaks without having to drop out into a third party app. With full 16 bit color support, you'll never loose any of that extra color information captured by RED ONE.
Pete Brown will show RED clips from several recent films he has worked on including "Liv" which includes Downtown L.A. bridge shots taken with a crane as well as effects shots.
Russ McDonald and Scott Snare will moderate The Owners' Circle. You're invited to discuss all things RED, whether you actually own one or not.
