I'm looking for a comprehensive list of the SDI specs out of the camera.

http://www.red.com/cameras/tech_specs/ is a bit limited.

Namely, with build 18, is the SDI spitting out 720P & 1080, 59.94, 23.98/24 correct? I assume it's not 3G, so it's 4:2:2, not 4:4:4

I'm also interested in what metadata is shooting down the pipe. TC? Start and Stop? Any lens / F-Stop info?

Is there a comprehensive list of the baseband output formats & frame rates and what metadata is on the pipe?

Thanks!

~Michael

From Build 16 i thing you can get 1080p 4:4:4 from 2 signals only in playback time .Other signals are 720p .
If you canera is Update you will get Lenses data on monitor. If you are asking about data in SDI signal ,
REDs 720p is not carry any data in signal .
For TC you must use TC out on camera , and for other metadate you need to use RS422 output.

Let me make sure I am clear about this:

I am referring to preview mode, NOT playback mode.

So, in record / preview mode, it's 4:2:2 on both SDI outputs:

In record, the Preview output provides a 1280 x 720p 10-bit 4:2:2 progressive scan video, at
59.94 or 50.00 Hz.

In playback, if PLAYBACK is set to 720p, the Preview output provides a 1280 x 720p 10-bit 4:2:2
progressive scan video, at 59.94 or 50.00 Hz.

If PLAYBACK is set to 1080p, the Preview output provides a 1920 x 1080p 10-bit 4:2:2 progres-
sive scan video signal at 23.98, 24.00, 25.00, or 29.97 Hz.

Note: the Preview HD-SDI output provides 4 channels of embedded audio plus timecode.
Note: The embedded timecode value is equal to the Time Code value of the recorded
frame previewed by the PVW output. I.e. the timecode sequence will be discontinuous.
Note: RED ONE™ outputs progressive scan video, it does not support the 1080PsF for-
mat.

Is this the ONLY output frame rate / size available during preview?

Also, it appears TC and Edge code are always on the SDI output:
Note: Time Code and Edge Code are only output from the 5-pin timecode connector if
OUTPUT is enabled in the TIMECODE setup menu, but are always embedded in HD-SDI.

Has Build 18 changed any of this? (I'm referencing the build 16 manual, Nov 08).
