Spacing on 19mm rods...

Hi,

I have had a look at a few topics on here, and searched the net and found mixed responses to the same question.

Im designing a couple of small widgets to mount stuff to the RED with. For the diagrams, I need to know the spacing between the rods. RED have told me 100mm over the phone, Zacuto say its 104, a few posts on this forum say its 105 and I found 103.6mm when measuring the camera.

I even phoned Abel Cine Tech but got no real answer.

So im just wondering if someone could give me a definite answer for this? Also is this rod system the same for Arri and other 19mm rod systems?



PS, Just realised my username is still my old handle thing and not my real name. Am I able to change this myself? If not, my real name is Peter Hoare (hate my sirname).

104mm. I'd recommed reading my Rod FAQ at the top of the Accessories section.

Yeah I have but one of the other posts mentioned 105mm, so I was just checking to be sure. Dont want to pay for tooling or custom parts if im not 100% sure.

It's 104mm. Don't know who you phoned here but I can assure you it is the correct answer.
