How much "red" will leave the factories each month, as from April (date of arrival of the "red")?

I rather think that is commercially sensitive info. I doubt they know themselves yet.

I predict it will ship on May Day (May 1st). A good "red" holiday. :D

We really don't know. I expect that time will tell before RED does. We currently know nothing of their manufacturing process - it's a good secret to keep.

I would think it depends on a lot of things. An educated guess would be that Spike, being an alpha version of the camera, is probably having major bugs worked out of it right now, followed by a series of pre-production units. I would say April would be a fair timeline to say the first "bug free" cameras will be ready to ship. Once they are shipping, what we will probably see is a gradual ramp up - because of so called "learning" effects - that means fine tuning the production - Red will be able to make more cameras per unit of time. And once the process is fine-tuned, Jim Jannard could choose to add more production capacity to keep up with demand, and develop new production processes that are more efficient. Even Jim probably does not even know how fast production will ramp up, because of some unexpected problems. Anyways, we'll leave it in Jim's capable hands to bring RED into this world. I have full confidence.
