Red Zoom 18-85mm doesn't fit on 435 and Movicam

This might have been discussed before but I couldn't find any info about it on the forum. I have the zoom since a couple weeks but it doesn't fit on a 435 or Moviecam, because the iris/PL ring is too wide for the mirror housing.
No doubt, it's a super lens, and it's so good I want to be able to use it on 35mm too.
I'm now reading the new primes are modified to fit on film cameras too. Is there something in the plans for the zoom to fit to film cameras?

It has been discussed before when it was discovered that the 18-85 would not fit on a Sony F35 up at Charter cameras. I don't think it was intentional like the Optimo DP lenses which advertised that they would not work on film cameras.

I got one of the first lens and was under the impression they would work on other cameras as it was implied that they would work on all PL mount cameras.
There are no plans that I am aware of to make that happen.
