Hi,
not a complaint, just a query. Ordered a bunch of stuff from the RED store the other day and had a notification from customs to say it had arrived today. However, we have been notified that because of the country of origin being Israel, the package has been seized by customs and we could not only lose it altogether, we may face a hefty fine.
I recognise that this is because of local government regulations, what with us living in an Arab country and is not RED's problem. However, Im interested to know if this is a new thing that has happened recently as we have ordered many times from RED over the last year or so with no problems at all.
Are there a lot of RED products being manufactured in Israel? We ordered REDarms, LCD and Drive Cables, a Car charger and batteries. It may stop a lot of equipment from being available to us over here.
Just to be clear, before this becomes a thread about the situation in the Middle East, Im not suggesting anything political or endorsing anything in any way whatsoever. Im merely saying what is fact in this part of the world, and how it affects us receiving shipments.
