Does anyone have any knowledge on risk and procedure of taking my Red One to Cuba for a 2 day shoot? Any special customs information? I know they don't allow VCRs or DVDs of any kind, but they do allow tourist video cameras.

I think I should just put a strap on it and carry it around my neck through the airport.

Any advice?

in 1990, I had 2 aaton and Sony hi8 with sachtler tripod without any problem. I flew from Miami not from Canada or Cancún.
I don't know now. Call your country's Cuban embassy.

Flew there from Cancún in July 2000 with Arri SR, tripod, etc.; rented HMIs in the ICAIC (Official cinema school), to shoot a small ad with soccer star Maradona, no problem at all. We do had to get journalist´s credentials at the embassy. I think it will be becoming even easier.
