Battery Charger

Auxiliary power on charger not working. Still charges batteries. AUX light won't come light up on charger when cable plugged in and camera won't power up.

Camera switching from DC to Battery in indicator on LCD, when battery plugged in through cradle. Otherwise camera working fine with batteries. Reset camera to factory settings. No love there.

Couldn't find anything in the forum. Sent email to Red, still waiting.
Anybody got any ideas?

I've had the same issue for a few months now. Red sent through a new cable but made no difference. Only having one charger, I've not been able to send the unit back to Red, but they have indicated that's the only way to resolve the problem.

I think I had the same issue 'till I carefully read the charger manual. To power the camera through the charger you must plug it (of course) and then push the camera power button and push it again between the next 3 seconds, then it'll work.

I Had that same problem and red send another cable that didnt help. They said something about some cameras might need to match the charger and they offered to exchange the charger if i sent them both back. Ended up getting an AC power supply instead coz shipping the camera and charger back would cost more.

Thanks Guys, tried everything, but I think the charger is faulty. It was working normally until thursday. Trying a new cable, but I think I will have to send the charger back to Red to be repaired.
