Good day . We own 200 Core, 25 Nodes Render Farm , Each node 2xQuad Core Xeon 2,3. With 8 GB Ram . We are using this nodes for Maya , 3D Max Renders for our VFX Dep .
Now we install MAC OS on every node , With help of Hackintosh system :) .
System is working great , and all test with RedAlert are very cool.
System same result as 8 Core Power Mac with 16GB Ram .
I have no experiences with working with RedAlert and Redline . I want
to use all my nodes as render farm for R3D to DPX render . I know
that monkey extract can provide Render Farm software for it :( but can
i do it without Monkey Extract .
Bigger Problem now that i have , is that my Render Farm is not connect
to my Xsan with Fiber . It is connect only with 1 GB Ethernet .
How you thing with 1GB speed is good for HD render . I mean will
ethernet limit render ?
I will post some pictures and some test results later.
