LOL
Actually that was a Steadicam vest and arm. And if I remember right the gun was a M60. A good all around home protection armament. Also handy for rodent control.

Oh yeah Steven
Ever seen a wood rat mound?
5' high x 10' to 15' long. Actually they are quite passive. Had one come and sit near me on a log one day. Sucker was well over a foot long and that's not counting the tail. Haven't seen T.P.B. is it worth renting?

Its worth buying.
I grew up on it and have seen it at least 35 times, so my opinion may be a little tainted. It is a really fun flick. The story is classic adventure swashbuckling, but has a good blend of humor while the music is absolutely beautiful. every one should see it at least once.

Must watch the Princess Bride. The pacing and timing on the script is amazing. If you don't laugh throughout, you might not be alive. :)

I love Princess Bride, too. It has always been a family favorite, I'm sure I've seen it at least 25 times over the years. But it has been too long now since I've seen it, so I have to watch it again for sure.

Fun movie, but in all these years I can't get mentally past the bad edit early in the film where Peter Falk opens the storybook in one shot, then opens it again in the next cut... aggggghhh.
I sat through the rest of the movie in the theatre wondering if I'd imagined it...

If this post had a topic to begin with....
I noticed that Seitz camera a while ago...it has some extensively published specs.
http://www.roundshot.ch/xml_1/internet/de/application/d438/d925/f934.cfm
Signal to noise ratio of 50,000 to 19, which means an actual contrast ratio of 2,632:1, or >11 stops. However, the data is recorded as 16 bit tiffs. Each channel would have 65,536 possible values. According to Graeme, recording with greater bit-depth than the S/N ratio is essentially recording noise more precisely.
The Dalsa Origin and Evolution both record to 16 bit, as well as Dalsa's H3D hasselblad.
Is dalsa making a big mistake with there 4k cameras by having them record unnecessarily to 16 bit instead of something like 10 12 or 14? It seems like an awful waste of data, and in a system that requires so much recording space, a bad decision.
Am I missing something?
