Its been already more than a month since we sent our lens for repairs. It's highly doubtful that it can take SO long to repair it.

It is whole another issue if it would be wise to send out the lens without testing it in the first place.

We have had our red for 5 months now and not once have we used our own full package, as we do not have it yet :)

Apparently it takes a long time to repair lens :)
Fortunately we also received a loaner couple of weeks ago until our's is repaired.

Thank You RED!

The good news is that the RPP's have a cellular mechanical design that will accelerate repair time tremendously. 48 hour turn around time!

Also the RRPs are a more in house design, so REDHQ should be able to get arts out of the door quicker, and do work in house, rather than sending them back to the OEM. I'm paraphrasing Jarred here.

Correct Karl.. The RPP's are much easier to repair than the other lenses. Turn around time we anticipate to be 24-48 hours instead of weeks with some other lenses.

oh.. and setting the Flange Distance is via shims like normal lenses.. you can have that done anywhere without affecting the warranty.
