Hello guys

Since im selling my old JVC GY-DV500 camera, i want to get some nice HD equipement with a little 35mm kick to it. Since college cost me 20000$! :crying::crying: Im looking for equipement as cheap as possible but still requiring some quality. What ive found yet, for the camera is 2 model, that im still choosing. The first one is the Sanyo Xacti VPC-FH1 that has and 1/2'' CMOS, 1080p at 60 fps and the JVC GZHD6US Everio witch does 1080p at 60 fps too.

My main concern is the 35mm adapter to give those comsumer cams an movie look ( REMEMBER I WANT TO SAVE AS MUCH AS I CAN FOR THE SCARLET, SO I CANT GO CRAZY ON THIS IN-BETWEEN CAM) ) right now ive found 3 models, the first one is the JAG35 adapter witch ive heard good comments, but doesnt flip the image, so you have to use the camera upside down, the second is the EnCinema 35mm adapter witch has the same problem, and the last on is from an compagny CineCity, witch is a special offer with 35mm adapter, Mattebox, an follow Focus white ring thingy, the rods and a speed crank : https://thecinecity.com/tcc/product.php?productid=131&cat=261&page=1

Right now, this will go up around 2000$, witch is fine for me since that will be paid will the selling of my camera right now on kijiji (if somebody buys it).
I need to ask you guys, since you are the masters here, witch of these is the best for me, witch cam and witch 35mm adapter.

Do you already have glass for the adapter? That's an added cost I'm not sure you've factored in.

Honestly, the link that you posted looks like a cheap ripoff of the redrock adapter. If you are really looking for a high quality adapter that is in-expensive look at the Letus. Not only does it flip the image, have great edge to edge sharpness, and minimal light loss, but it is also one of the best built adapters out there.

I'm going to boy a Sanyo HD2000 in a few days and I'm also interested in 35mm adapters... Do you know if all adapters are compatible with this camera? I've seen jag35, brevis, letus, and some models presented at www.35mmadapter.blogspot.com, witch one do you recommend me? Jean-Charles Myrand, did you find any solution?

Thanks

don't go near the cinecity stuff. Any of it. It's garbage. Buy the letus.

for 2gs

get a canon 5d mkii. or a pany gh1.. seriously. footage off of those smoke any redrock stuff any day. and you can hook up mount adapters for your lenses.. and mounts are cheap.. you can get em off of ebay.

check this video out... that has red, 5dmkii and a gh1 all integrated in 1 video. what more do you want?

ive got an sgpro 35 and an ex3, and a canon xha-1... i'd shoot with my 5dmkii instead any day. Any Day.
