i had several of my colleagues interested and ready to buying a RED as soon as they were avaiable. but that was last year.
now the release date has come and gone - they all think red is vapourware.
so as someone that has stayed out of the loop since NAB - where is the camera? all the official site says is that is been delayed.
are we all just gullable loons? at this rate the camera will be years away and sony will have something out five times as good.
i wanna believe..but am having a hard time keeping the faith.

the truth will set you free ...
you can be part of the future ... or stuck in the past ... the CHOICE is yours ...
you don't HAVE to believe ...
after all ... what the heck does that Peter Jackson know, right?

Interesting logic: Peter Jackson makes a movie with RED,
but Sony's (imagined) camera is already five times better than Red's "vapourware". Huh?.

The sting of making a $250 million movie with the most disappointing box office run of 2005? ;-)

Hi,
the camera indeed has been delayed because they ran into some trouble, unexpected, and because of some problems with a supplier (which they already have replaced, if I'm not mistaken).
There is already a new schedule up, and think of this:
if RED isn't real... how did Peter Jackson shoot his short then with one?

Rubberducker,
I see that is your first post here. The search tool is your friend on RED User if you're truly looking for information on RED. I see Zane has done the homework you should have done and provided you a link.
The only "gullible loons" at this point in the development of RED One are a few highly uninformed holdouts who still think that RED is "vaporware".

Gibby's post nailed it. Use the search, visit RED.COM, all the info you seek is right here. Nothing else to say.
