I was looking at that and its something we have commonly done in our Tribal Health Clinic. (Ever see a elder just light up with something unexpected, that is priceless). but we commonly called it edu-tainment. Cause of the cultural, ethnobotany, historical videos we would show in the trial health clinic lounge. (captured audience as well).

The newest local multiplex in our area has LCD displays mounted in vertical orientation for digital poster displays. Some are just digital versions of conventional poster designs and some have windows with trailers running inside the poster graphics. Pretty interesting.

This type of thing has been going on for a few years. What has changed is photographers are being hired, not moviemakers. Same thing goes for young photographers shooting music videos on their 5D MkIIs and D90s.

The line between photographer and cinematographer continues to blur and will probably be eliminated entirely in the near future. After all, if most new camera systems will shoot both stills and motion, it would make little sense for those who buy such a tool to not attempt to be proficient in all aspects of its use.
