On apple.com in the FCS2 section you can watch a "Red camera" section about how Redcode is built into FCS2, Well I have FCS2 and I cant seem to find anything about REDCODE anywhere, its not definatly not on the tool bar they show it in the video. Am I just missing something? I wont have a Red to use for at least a year, maybe never (I drive a $1,500 truck), but thats silly to advertise REDCODE built-in compatability if its not there "Built-In" Yet. Some one correct me if I am wrong.

On a side note, I am not trying to offend any of you red worshippers, but go outside, get off of the computer for a day(or more), and spend sometime with your wife/girl-friend/friends or kids. You justy might find your beloved camera on your doorstep once you stop worrying about the shipping date. Messageboards eat at the soul... And so Does FCP

Just a quick note, don't say you're not trying to offend any of you red worshippers and then go on to offend. There are many people here who offer inciteful advice, many of whom (Like me) that work in front of a computer for much of the day. Message boards only work if people actually go on them and write messages.

As for the point of your thread, redcode will be supported in the near future in apples FCS2. Please do a search on the subject.

I can hear violins in the background..

BTW I am not trying to offend you but for many of us our work is our passion and luckily it's through that we make enough money to take care of our wife/girl-friend/friends or kids. (More violins).

God bless.

I´ve been sitting in front of FCP, Logic, ProTools since ever. My soul must be eaten by now....

FCP2 is my girlfriend, dude. She likes to stay inside on the computer.

LOL... something tells me this is the real reason you posted your "advice" in the 1st place. No offence taken at all.

Hunter, unless you have REDCINE/REDCODE licensed software installed, you won't have it show up in your FCP6.

When you install REDCINE, the REDCODE codec will be placed alongside all the other codecs you may have (Blackmagic, CineForm, etc.) in the /Library/QuickTime folder of your Mac. At that point, it will show up in FCP6 as you saw on the Apple site screenshot.

Rob, correct me if I'm wrong, please.

Dude thanks for coming inside long enough to log on to the intertubes and give this advice. Please tell me what does the sun look like, I want to see. Have you met a girl?? I think they might be outside also, right?

PS, Native redcode will be in an update, later this summer, I think. Just tell us where you are and we'll come outside and tell you. Protect your soul dude.

Obviously it's the same few guys posting these barbs and jabs. They always have only one post and they never post again. It's always some message cloaked as a question, but containing some trolling question or comment. Red got some people all hot and bothered. In truth, they just wish they had the camera so they could sit inside and talk about it all day.
