I used to have a rig like that set up actually, except attached to a Sinar 4x5 with a Schneider Super Angulon.

Never occurred to me to remove the scanner housing. I see if this had good housing it would be suitable for the great outdoors as thats all youd need for amazing shots.

One would argue that youd need the scene to remain perfectly still... Well, that wouldnt really matter as large format photographers tend to do long exposures anyway with f/64 iris's and all.

Its a nice cheap way of large format photography.
