Why Big Names And Not Us Little Guys

I am very surprised that the topic of why the cameras are being given out to big names jackson and soderjerk and not first to the independant filmmaking reservation holders. It seems that all of these threads are from the future of filmmaking, visionaries and artists looking to use this camera to show there art to the world with that magical new red look. Favortism marketing publicity, yes i know but what about us? i agree with alot of other threads here, where are the new pictures, new footage, and 24 hour online response robots?

As an apparent non-reserver, you're not really qualified to grouse about this one buddy.

I am camera #27, of the finished product. Had Jim approached me about being a beta-tester, I would have been thrilled. He didn't, and while a bit bummed, I know I was not entitled to be a beta tester. Jim can decide to let whomever he wants be a beta tester. Who you let be a beta has no bearing on who's in line for a finished camera.

Jim made the right choices in his picks for the betas. Having this kind of credibility added on to the Red dogpile will help me a lot more than having a dozen Redusers making short films.

jim owns the first what 5? cameras.. he can loan out or rent out or whatever to whomever he wants.. period.. thats like someone telling me #1015 i cant rent my camera out for some reason..

well i am a reserve holder for one camera and 2 lenses... not half a camera buddy. And peter jacksons film can be out done by me and about a dozen or more red users on this site if they had their cameras.

all do respect to red, just siting the unthreaded obvious.

cant wait for my red and cant wait to show you what a real beta test looks like.

no i didnt know that jvb. thank you so much i thought i just turn on the camera and sean penn and brad pitt show up and the magic begins. then que the oscars i write a speech and include jvb for showing me the ropes.
