Does anyone have tech specs on this? What bit depth does it support? I'm looking at possibly using it for editing footage from my Andromeda.

Thanks!

It's slower performance than a Tiff sequence but it works. I use it for lossless archiving. Especially good for motion graphic/alpha/Gbuffer layers but otherwise it's pretty unspectacular compression from a natural image.

I don't know if it's part of the spec but I know in Combustion Quicktime-Tiff does not support >8 bit channel images which could be a problem for you... or not.

Hummm... yeah, I'm aiming for at least 10 bit, as thats what my footage is coming into the system, 12 bit is the ideal, guess I'll have to keep searching.

The editing is 8 or 10 bit in the new FCP 6. Look at the bottom of the page of the link above. I don't know if that answers your question.

Is there a problem with using image sequences? It'll give you the most flexibility if you want a lossless workflow.

Its the extra file sized caused by the bit depth. My footage is 10 bit, I realize the benefits of oversampling, but 12 would be nicer on the file size, and I wouldn't be losing any data.
