I have a question about transcoding files into FCP. A client is looking for this workflow:
"The Log & Transfer tool ingests the QuickTime clips with REDCODE into the capture scratch location. Verify that the QuickTime movies are using the REDCODE codec within the Final Cut Pro file browser or QuickTime player.
Use the clips and the Production Log to record the information needed. The acquisition format and submitted format dropdowns should be set to R3D.
Provide both the 4K R3D files and an accompanying HD 1920x1080 23.98 QuickTime file using the REDCODE codec."
But I don't see how to transcode through Log & Transfer INTO Redcode, only how to transcode FROM Redcode to Prores 422 HQ.
Does anybody have any ideas or clarification?
