I was over visiting Robert, Brad and the guys over at Keslow Camera, when they popped the lid on their RED Prime case. They looked great, the mechanics felt good. One of Keslow's lens tech Leonel ran a lens comparison test for me, using a calibrated projector, projecting a lens resolution chart.
They tested a 50mm Ultra Prime and a 50mm RPP. I've never seen a test like this first hand, and it was very enlightening. I saw for myself the resolving capabilities of both lenses, and I have to say, the RPP edged out the UP in resolving power. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to see with your good eye, how well the RPP fairs over the other lens.
I was impressed, and I think most if not all will also be impressed.
