Quick! Call Cameron. You may have something there.
Have you seen the Zacutto rig for the iPhone? :)
What's amazing is how good the video looks for what it is!
Great kidcam any way....

That's kinda what inspired this. I thought a handheld rig for a phone was insane so I decided I needed to make something even more absurd. Turned out to be rather entertaining. I might keep it.

Now the new iPod Touch needs a Cam. Who can afford two iPhones alone? :biggrinjester:

You are making an elementary error in not getting those lenses closer together. Why not flip one and have it a little higher than the other?

We did consider this, but it threw off the balance of the rig as well as complicating the alignment of axiis. The main horizontal pin mount is fully adjustable/replacable, allowing you to dial in the exact height, tilt, and pan of each iphone, as well as the distance between them.

I cant. I'm using the iphone screens to frame. That's the Anaglyph ouput for the director to watch with his 3D glasses.
Polarized monitor option also available.

So ridiculous it's redonculous. Now you just need to shoot an award winning short to complete the absurdity... better yet, edit it on the iPhone with the new 3.0 software and make a program that will generate an edl from the iPhone editor and use it to combine the footage for 3D.
