Almost almost done with the book- I can feel it. We're looking for an example of a shot log customized for RED. You know, shot name, reel information, comments, production title, etc.

If you have something like this made up perhaps in Excel we'd love to have it and print it with a credit to you. Even better if you happen to have one that's filled out with real data from a shoot. Let me know as soon as you can via PM.

thanks,
Noah

I have used the 'Project Documentation' feature in Clipfinder for that on the last feature shoot and that worked really well. I modified a xml template to include the fields that I wanted and make a nice lay-out - they are within the package contents of the application and if you copy one and give it a custom name it shows up in the templates list. Then in Safari I printed a pdf that could be send to the overseas producer. Worked really well, especially thumbnails are really nice and if the first frame of the shot contains the slate then you have the scene and shot number right there. Add whether it is a good take and your editor will be very happy.

As Sander mentioned, the one in Clipfinder is really great. I use this to provide to editorial, and like Sander said the thumbnails are a nice little feature. I use a customized version as well which just has the details I need. For all those who have yet to check out Clipfinder, this is a reminder to go download it and give it a shot. And if you like it, give Hans a nice donation. The guy is top notch in my opinion.
