Out of the box, it seems all Canon lens' need to collimated on the Birger mount.
Erik at Birger is working on more comprehensive instructions, but for the moment can somebody direct new Birger users on how to collimate their lens'?
Thanks

He doesn't mention why you need the measuring tape does he? When collimating a lens with the chart, is there an optimum distance to set up?

In my experience, two to three meters, generally works well as a starting point. The lenses that don't hold focus so well with zoom, seem to do much worse in the macro range. When you get to the middle distances, they tend to hold pretty well. The 10-22 is a good example of a lens with such behavior.
