That is an awesome looking case. I bought the Innerspace case that RED sells along with my RPP's. It's nice too, but I have to say I like the extra accessory wells in this one. Who makes this case? Looks similar in size to the RED case, but there's less padding between the lenses...

Congrats on the new addition.
That is indeed a nice case, with space for the 18mm too.
Who makes it?

Common Matt, you got to tell us who makes this case?

reminds me of my 5 year old. I got her this little electric car for out at the cabin, and her and her sister spent the whole first day playing with the box ;-)

Whoa guys - you can get custom cases from many vendors. A&J, Anvil, Master Cases all spring to mind - If you are in the UK get one of those ridgidized aluminum cases with the welded corners. Slick.

Yea, but that design seems right on. So if the "secret" were unveiled we could easily send them this photo and say: "I want exactly this". :)

Why not send that photo to A&J, Anvil, and Master Cases, and ask "what is your price to do exactly this" ?

Ok, yea, you got me there... :) But what's all the secrecy about? :)
I congratulated him on the addition. And everyone has seen RPPs. That is the first custom case posted so far and it made it clear to me that a custom is the way to go. I guess we veered off subject a bit, but I just don't see what's the big deal.

Try Master Cases. Talk to Charlie and he'll know what's up. The larger pocket fit's a LMB-5, the smaller one a few filters in pouches. Empty case weight is 20 lbs, with all the 5 RPP's lenses on board, but not the mattebox is 48 lbs so you should be able to get it checked, with the LMB-5 in there without excess baggage fees.
Charlie's shop is always very busy so be patient with him.

If you are in the UK, Oakleigh cases in Potters Bar do nice stuff. They can make you an aluminium case like that and cut you the foam, or they can make a foam insert for a storm or pelicase.

Good to see the RPP getting out, congrats on your delivery Matt, but isn't keeping all the lenses together in one case make for a very heavy lifting in and out of Trucks?

Internal Dimensions are 22 1/2 x 15 x 13 external is 3/4 inch more. The shelf on some carts is 24" so it's good to be under that.
Weight not too bad - 49 lbs I think. I try to get all my cases near there so I can check them without being gouged by the airline.
When working with primes I like to have them close to camera in one box. Speeds things up and simplifies things.
I usually work with professional crews and for the most part they have been happy with how I've got things organized - and being happy about gear is unusual for them, as they are a salty lot.

This is the basic idea - it's evolved a bit in the last 18 months since ours was made. I use a custom removable top-handle that goes on ET dovetail track.

Hehe, totally agree with you on the crew and the gear aspect, usually no matter how you pack they always have something to say, with me is always, wow, nice packaging, but not really a necessity, gear is meant to be used.
And true it is but I like for my gear to stay in great condition for as long as possible.
And yes I also totally agree that if and when you can Camera and lenses should be close together and in less cases as possible, didn't realize that you kept them under 50LB, that is great, I always do the same, as with my broken knee I can shouldn't carry more then that, even so I carry 100LB or so more then regularly.
