"Often ideas come from two things coming together that haven't come together before." Neil Gaiman

If you are an aspiring screen writer, read the full essay at ttp://www.neilgaiman.com/exclusive/essays/essaysbyneil/ideasessay/

Stardust is based on Neil Gaiman's work. These days screen writers use a formula or combine elements of several different movies together. Disney's animated films all follow the same formula. Stardust combines elements of so many different fantasy movies and does it really well. Combining elements is how Hollywood works. Stardust has elements of The Princess Bride, Witches of Eastwick, Harry Potter, The Chronicles of Narnia, Titanic, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Romeo and Juliet.
