Just so you know, the first update to 9.0 is released:

http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/download/updates/vegaspro

It has a HUGE list of fixes, including at least one that relates to RED footage, so it's a must-download.

Also, there's a long thread on the Sony forums pertaining to the 9.0a release:

Thnaks for the heads up!

Already my scenes are loading MUCH faster & metadata is changing realtime in the preview window (which didn't work in 64 bit version).

Need to start testing long renders w/ multiple effects. If that's fixed, good times are ahead.

***Still no colorspace difference when selecting between REC709 & REDspace

No crashes yet for me, but I've only played with a few RED clips. Just shot a 1hr15m Corp. Training video today on my EX1 (1080/30p) and that will be my first real 9.0a 64 bit project.

I´m having lots of problems with texts. I use a lot of them and when i copy a text box from one project to another, it looses the information. I´ve been able to solve this by double copying the text box in the same project and then deleting the 1st text. But it´s a pain in the ass and if you forget to do this it´s unnoticed until you reopen the prject and find all your texts missing.

I'm having this problem as well. With the first release, I had the problem of text from a previously open project showing up in my current project. Haven't had that issue with 9a, but now this new issue pops up.
