Sorry if this has been answered, but I couldn't find a thread. Does anyone know what time tomorrow the order forms will go online? I do get to sleep tonight, right? We're not talking midnight PST are we?

Seriously though, I could swear I read a post from one of the RED team here or on DVINFO that we're looking at 12:00AM Pacific Time. anyway, I'm going to check their site then. If nothing, I'll just check it about every hour or so.

Yeah, I'd wait until the early morning PST... the guys work on the camera by day and the forums by night. ;) That said, I think the party is tonight... so they may not do it until early.
Eh, what's one night? It'll be worth staying up late to potentially secure a lower reservation number.

Don't know... But I'm about to go sleep for a couple hours and try again in the morning. I'm guessing if it's not online in the next 20 minutes or so, it won't be until sometime at a more reasonable local time for the guys at RED.
Although it is Sunday and their offices are closed on Sunday, so I don't know when they plan to offer it. Hmmm...

Yup, works a treat - my Paypal account lists the payment going through at 01:18 PST, and the serial email is marked 01:28 PST as time of sending, so 10 mins, actually - quick as you like...

I did email them about half an hour after reservations were supposed to open (call me keen if you like!), so maybe they thought they'd better shut me up!
Or maybe the rate of reservations has risen...
I wouldn't panic, it'll be thee soon!
Oh, if it makes any difference to anyone, my serial came to the address listed on my paypal account, not the one I filled in on the Red reservation form...

Yeah gaspacho, still waiting for mine as well. I'd like to go to bed, but knowing that the red serial number could come at any moment keeps me up. Think I would sleep a bit better once I know I've got that.

They're definitely there - I got an email back from Ryan after reservations opened telling me that they had - although I'd already got my order in by then!
I know what you mean, Elysian - I was checking my mail every 20 seconds or so, I think!

"There are a few parts of the process that are not automated, so it will be a moment. I see that your order has in fact been submitted. You'll receive a confirmation number shortly. All orders are process in the order received."

Anyway, my PayPal transaction said it was successful even though it acted a bit goofy and I emailed RED to confirm the transaction went through. No response yet, but I'm confident it worked. I really am going to sleep now. Hopefully I can report back soon with a serial #. I hope I'm not too much farther down the list past Dominic! #1100 would suit me jsut fine. #1300 and I'll be kinda grumpy for not sticking to my desk chair like a madman.

Just got an email from Red w/ a tentative serial number (1088). Will be confirmed once paypal confirms the transfer of money. (Don't know if that is paypal or my bank's slowness). Anyhow I'm excited to join the Red team.

i email Ryan at 4k@red.com and he sent an email back saying that he had received my money and told me my numbers. i've still to receive my contract though.
i'm not sure if this is the right thing to do, but i was excited and just wanted to know.

I sent an email to 4K@red.com as well... About 45 minutes after I placed my order -- asking if everything is alright. Paypal charged me the money and I have a transaction # and all that, so nothing I can really do until someone at Red follows up. Hope mine didn't get lost in the shuffle...

Just stumbled onto this thread a few minutes ago after seeing Jarred's "Spike Black" prototype photos for the first time--WOW! Just submitted my reservation for RED! I finally made it into the next generation of digital cinema! THANK YOU, RED TEAM!

Just took the plunge on a camera plus 300mm lens. Paypal payment went through fine, but still waiting for the Reservation # from Red. No real sweat, though. I wanted to lock in at the current pricing, and don't care too much where I am in the queue.

I am about to place my reservation for a Red One and Red Zoom.
Can anyone tell me if it's OK to place a different reservation for each.
Because the Red Zoom is (according to red.com) shipping later in the year, I'd like to have the ability to opt out of the reservation for just the lens, as I may wind up with a different lens before the Red Zoom ships.
Also, I wouldn't want to take the chance of my Red One reservation becoming jeopardized.
I also cc'd this to 4k@red.com

No reservation # yet either, although I just placed my order just a few minutes ago.
What I found odd was the Red store kicked me into a Paypal page, and I made my payment, but didn't get sent back to Red store to confirm order.
I have faith that all is well, but will be scanning my email compulsively until order confirmation and order number arrive.

No response either way. I didn't get kicked back to the RED webstore after paying through PayPal either both with the reservation and last week with stickers. I haven't seen my stickers yet either. :confused: But PayPal definitely did take my money and they sent it somewhere.

have you emailed him again, its possible with the amount of email he must be getting that he missed yours.

Just received word from RED.
They do have my Payment via PayPal... RED processes in the order they are received... So we'll see what that does to me. They didn't have a reservation # to report to me yet.
Oh well, I guess all I can do is wait and see what happens.

Contact RED directly they will give you wire transfer instructions or may have some other suggestions. You can also use credit cards directly on PayPal without setting up an account, or at least I think you can.

I say go ahead and email them... Just to be sure they received your payment alright. But it took RED nearly 12 hours to respond to my inquiry. And I still don't have a reservation # -- I think they're still sorting it all out on their end. If you have a PayPal receipt, you're probably fine, we all just have to wait for RED to catch up with it all and hopefully things will be quicker tomorrow as they all return to work. :)

I'm thinking one of the hold-ups for me is my lens reservations. This is just a theory, but I'm thinking they're getting a ton of people reserving the 18-85 zoom and possibly even the 300mm. This is adding to all the confusion... I reserved the camera and both lenses and I think that may be why I'm still waiting for an email while others who ordered a bit after (or so it seems) already have their # in line for the camera.
...I could be wrong though. That happens a lot.

There's no where for me to sign on the receipt itself and the .PDF is only one page. Did they forget to send me the contract?

They'll send a separate contract for you to sign and send in after they've charged the $$$. A least, that's what happened to me on the first round of reservations.
