I think I need one of those radio telephone thingys for about a month or two.
The store in town wants me to sign up for a two year contract. I would have absolutly no use for the thing after about two months. Soooo what I want to know is if anyone has ever bought one of those phones where you by a card that gives you x amount of minutes of talk time and if one plan is better than the other.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Chuck

My niece was visiting a last month and just before she was ready to catch her the train back home, her cell phone succumb to a toilet water accident. So, we picked up a TracFone and a card with enough time to get her back home. Worked out fine, and the best part was that we accomplished the whole thing within an hour of her departure. Perfect, temporary solution.

Thank you khmouse. They have those models at the local convinence store.
Toilet water accident? I guess they have gotten so small that they can be flushed!

Not flushed, but her previous phone failed to survive the immersion trial. We picked up the TracFone at the nearest Target but I have seen them for sale at numerous places.

Hmmmm. Immersion trial. Could be a good test for the L.A. group, since my "Drophitch Test" didn't seem to go over all that well.

I think my circus hammer test is still on... :clown2:

OK, maybe not, but I'm sitting here bored to death in a hotel room in downtown Dallas.

As for cell-phones and toilet water... My daughter, now 4 years old, tried to flush my phone one day about 2 years ago. It happens.... My son, who just turned 2, is also fascinated with cell phones and other small devices, but I keep them in safer places now that I've learned.

There must be something to do in Dallas. I got it. Go down to the lobby and buy a 4X Stetson and a bola tie. Now grab a cab and hit the night spots and use a lot jargon like "Shit Howdy" and "Damn! did you see the legs on that filly"?
