We used Birger mount for about a week, than suddenly it stopped working. We opened it and reinstalled.. Nothing. :emote_22_yikes:
Now we can't change neither iris or focus. The lens information is gone.
Any suggestions.. I suspect it could be a cable issue. If that is the case, can I use the origo cable to power the mount?
Thanks in advance

You might try reinstalling the firmware through the BEI software.
This has fixed any problems I ever encountered when the mount stops working.
I think the firmware can sometimes get scrambled especially when working with the Impero. My experience anyway.

The BEI software can't find the mount.
P.s. I'm using the mount without impero..

How about the cable and the port settings on the camera, are they ok?

It may take several tries to get the mount and the BEI software to see each other. It has sometimes taken me between 5-10 tries. It is frustrating but try it. If after several tries and it still fails to work, it may be something else like the cable.

I had the same problem....and i'm not joking when i said i tried to pair it no less than a 100 times...finally sent the mount back when i emailed Erik and he said the Rf radio might have died....

I checked the port settings on the camera.. They are Ok. I watched Jay's tutorial again just to be sure.
My blutooth application on my laptop says it can't find any device. So it's not about the BEI software. I know that sometimes it takes more than a try, but even when I had trouble connecting the mount with BEI software, I could see the device (birger).
Thanks guys for your suggestions..

I don't think is about RF radio, because I can't contoll the iris even manually.

What kind of support experience are you getting from them?

I sent an email, but no reply. After that I called and spoke with Erik. He was very supportive.
We agreed that I should send the mount and the cable back so they may check and repair or replace the mount.

Did you ask for a replacement? I wonder what would have happened if you were in the middle of a production schedule.

I ordered a tripod from fluidheadtripods.com. It came with a $100 dollar rebate which they failed to honor. When I complained to them, the guy who I email was Michael J. Hababou, he told me "things had changed" and that "they were no longer going to give the rebates" He told me "I will not give you one penny" I've never dealt with a more unprofessional company or individual in my career. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Their business ethics are completely unethical. If anyone would like to see the actual emails he sent me feel free to contact me and I will send them to you. I don't want anyone else to suffer this company.
You may want to start your own thread for this.
Doesn't really fit here.
