View Full Version : Urgent Crimson / Redcine Issue

I'm editing a 99 cut video for a huge artist with Atlantic Records.

I tested Crimson demo with five clips. Worked fine. So I purchased a full use serial #.

Exported my FCP XML. Everything went through Crimson just fine in the first stages. Created my cowboy intermediate. My intermediate uploaded fine into RED CINE. But when I try to open the XML file, RED cine won't let me go beyond the first layer of files, only displaying Apps, Users, Library, Network, Volumes. It won't let me search beyond that. I'm using a 3.0 GHz 8 core, 8 gigs RAM.

I have to have this ready for the client tomorrow so time is a bit urgent. Any help would be great.

Thanks.

I have had the same issues with build 20 material, however this was just posted and might solve your problem. I just saw it, so I haven't tested it yet.

Cut your sequence into shorter parts and it will be fine, I hope. There is a limitation of the number of spanned r3d in redcine if I recall correctly.

Ok Thanks, but i already did that and does not work, red cine said " failed to construct", i use only 10 clips, and i export xml file version 4 in FCP, go to crimson, follows the steps in crimson demo,, go to redcine, and i make click in load all, load is fine, but when i clik in open to assemble the xml in redcine, red cine said " failed to construct, and I don't now because this happens,

Check competability of your crimson and redcine, there are diffrent crimson versions for diffrent redcine versions.
