Thank you:) I did a full frame off restoration myself. 0% help from anyone. At least shows I can carry thru a project to completion.
Although I don't think it would make for a very secure veicle to transport cine equipment in, it would sure look cool pulling upto a shoot:) Perhaps a trailer would be the ticket to pull behind?

Yeah thatīs my thought too, my 78 citroën 2cv works nice in the summer, but at minus 30 celsius and below the car works, but not the crew. No heating in it.
Anyways itīs personality gives a bonus in the summertime :)
Looking at the economy side it drinks about a half liter of petrol per 10 km, got lots of space and is almost tax free ;D

LMAO. Why not just bring a tent? I hope you don't snore in that sucker, or your wife will be hating life! ;)
Lol, Jeff, I like it! One great thing about an old, long-wheel-base car like that is that it probably rides real smooth, which can be nice for shooting footage from. One time I was working with a DP friend and we were talking about good vehicles to shoot from on roads. The best thing we could think of was an old limo with a moonroof. Smooth! I think you should modify that baby into a camera car. hahaha.
Sorry, a bit offtopic.. But Tom, what ink is that on your back? It looks like an upside down M-16 but it also looks like Arabic script..

Hehe... Never tried shooting anything from it. Actually, don't own it anymore. Truthfully, only drove it a few times. It was a real head-turner! It was one of my grandfather's cars -- my brother and I pulled it out of storage and cleaned it up, got it running (to sell it). We took it down the street to the self serve car wash and then grabbed some burgers. Good for a laugh. My brother had said all his life that he was going to keep the car for himself, but when the time came he wouldn't do it. He always had an attachment to it -- it was the first car he ever rode in, as a newborn coming home from the hospital.

I don't own it yet - but I'm working on that. A rancher who owns it custom-built the living quarters. Its way cool inside...
I found it in a small town in the Rockies. I'll just add a fat tire bike on the back and a wooden canoe on wood cradle racks on top - and I'll be stylin'!

Sorry, a bit offtopic.. But Tom, what ink is that on your back? It looks like an upside down M-16 but it also looks like Arabic script..
Next thread suggestion..Post your tats?
Oh, man, a thread like that might tempt me to get a second tatt.
Yes, it's Arabic script, but the word is Persian/Dari:

67 GSS (Grand Spaulding Special) Dart 440 powered
First hand me down car from the parents was a similar vintage Dodge Dart with the 225ci slant six and 3 speed on the column. It got a header and exhaust, and a new intake manifold with 3 2-barrel carbs on it. Ran pretty good but blew head gaskets pretty often. :001_unsure:

Just picked up a brand new black Honda Fit the other day. Perfect for storing equipment and great on gas mileage for the hour long trip to school and back. I really wanted a manual transmission but they don't have any in black in the whole state of Florida, so I went with the automatic, which is fine by me. I haven't taken a picture of mine yet but this one looks just like it.

It's too nice for me. I was thinking of replacing the tank and fenders with bare metal ones, letting 'em rust a little.
I'll be trying to hook up my sound guy w/ a motorcycle license, rampage around the continent for awhile, taking turns shooting from the side car and generally causing a ruckus. Doesn't hurt that the RED looks like something out of Mad Max itself.
I'm wondering if I'll be able to get an inverter on that thing. Charge batteries and making coffee...

Had it only a few years. Drivetrain is completely restored and done, however the interior and exterior are quite costly at this time. A picture of towing it home, in progress and present day. Fun to drive to the local cruises with my sons.

I saw an awesome looking SUV the other day. There was absolutely no brand name anywhere on the vehicle. It did have a bird like emblem on the hood - but no name. It looked a little bit like this;

...but it wasn't a Lexus. The bird like emblem was on the hood.
Any ideas?

Home made, most of the images are from earlier builds. Current build is capable of dumping sustained 500 amps and 600 amps for 10 seconds. It is very fast and huge torque. The etek motor is rated to 72 volts and unbeknownst to my son I have it running at 42 volts and half throttle pot. Still scary fast.

She's not the fastest or the most luxurious, but she's a damn fine mix between German engineering (which typically equates to pleasure when driving) and camera-friendly (I've fit the better part of a Panaflex G2 and it's myriad Anvil cases, sticks, Panahead, etc in the back with room still for an AC or two, so my Red package is a breeze).
Wouldn't mind if I had the 1.8T under the hood, and could use a 6th gear, but until I can afford an A4 Avant, she'll suffice.
