Hi group. New user here. Going on a shoot in Lancaster in a couple of weeks. It'll be roughly 110 degrees out there. I was told the camera will have problems in high temperatures. Something about "red noise"? Is that myth or is there some truth to it? Could anyone weigh in on problems/precautions of using the Red in the desert? Please email directly if you can: bundorf@gmail.com

Many Thanks!

We did a show a couple of weeks ago in a dried up lakebed out near palmdale. It was about 105 for around 6-8 hours all day. Camera never overheated or had issues. However, to take precautions properly, set the camera fan to either hot, (if your not rolling sound) or quiet (if rolling sound.) Other than that its basic assistant stuff. Set courtesies at both camera position and camera staging, keep it out of direct sunlight as much as possible. Bag the camera with a space blanket when your not shooting and bring lots of gel Ice packs! Wouldnt hurt either to have a USB powered small laptop fan blowing on the camera as well.
