Have sent this to the upgrade department via regular email with no response:

Maybe will get a mention here in Public. I have received final notice to send in my cam #954 for the Upgrade. The camera is in south Africa, I am in Indonesia. I want to know if we miss the date for the final upgrade due to logistics etc will we be able to still get that upgrade at a later date but incur a financial obligation to do so? And if so, how much?

Cheers,
Mark.

John has been great with the upgrade communications. I got the final notice as well, emailed John, as per his email, and received instant responses to work out a later date to have my camera updated.

As you can all imagine, John was bombarded today with emails by everyone who got the upgrade last call. He has been the coordinator for this whole thing - so for the thousands of cameras that have been upgraded, each one has passed through him. As we make this final push to wrap up the upgrade program, please do have a little extra patience with response times as well as processing times.

FYI, we do have dedicated teams and other resources in both UK and US for this upgrade program. We obviously cannot keep those resources dedicated indefinitely so that is why we need the gear in sooner than later.

Yes, we want the gear in before Aug 14. But we understand there may be extenuating circumstances like yours, Jim and Mark. We will do our best to accommodate you.

Thanks, BC

Hi Brent,
I received the original upgrade deadline to which I raised my question. In response I was re-sent the original information. This didn't achieve anything in resolving my question.

If I am too late for the upgrade due to commitments and camera bookings can I at a later date get the upgrade as a regular service and if so how much would that be?

Thanks,
Mark.

Mark,

We will do our best to accommodate you (upgrade you after the deadline), but please understand that as Brent said, there is a designated team for this upgrade program. We are trying to wind this program down, while still being able to service all of our customers. If you extend past this date, it will most likely extend processing time.

Thanks,
Brian

We sent the email to everyone eligible for the upgrade program. If you have already been upgraded you can ignore the email. If you are not sure please email upgrades-at-red-dot-com

Zak,

You have been upgraded. Not sure why you do not have ipins installed, as looking at your history they were. It is possible someone took them out, or swapped your PL mount.

Thanks,
Brian

Again, I do ask for a little patience on response times from John. We have people posting within four hours of emailing him that he has not gotten back to their emails. We have people posting who have been eligible for months and months for the upgrade program and are waiting until the last possible moment to get in touch with us. I certainly understand busy schedules and extenuating circumstances that makes getting in your gear to us quickly difficult. So I do ask you to be patient as a heck of a lot of people emailed John only when we said "last call". He has your email. He is getting back to people as quickly as possible. We will take care of you. I promise.
