Hey guys, more of my exploits....

I went crazy on the color correction for this one. My neighborhood is looking pretty dry and dead, so I put After Effects color correction to the test and created what I like to call an "Alpine Green" look, vivid blue sky and rich deep greens. For those who wonder... I used LOTS of tricks to do this, but nothing you wouldn't do in a Lustre suite.

Medium contrast, sleight pull back on the green:

High contrast

No Contrast added:

Note: My compression codec messes with contrast somewhat, so I apply a sleight filter to fight it off... Also, if your monitor is not set for proper viewing of video, contrast may appear heavier than it really is... this includes monitors set up for photos.

Enjoy!

I like the sky here, but I think the green is a bit over saturated, makes me kind of ill. Plus it probably reeks havoc on that poor guys complexion. Its good to see the limits of raw processing with different systems though.

When you say "lots of tricks" .. care to explain more? are these "tricks" taking a long time to render, compared to adding secondries and fx in say color ? just intrested...

What's with the yellow leading edge on your walk to the right in the second clip? (I haven't downloaded the others)...

Ah, the leading edge, ops! I used a few masks to do these things, as you would in any program. I can get pretty selective using the built in AE color correction, but sometimes you just need to mask off other objects to really fine tune some of the focus the tools already give you. I guess my key framing wasn't quite spot on... thanks for spotting, will fix. :weight_lift:

Oh, and no it doesn't take a long time to render at all, and yes they are secondary color correction just by the way I use them. Primary is basically anything thats overall image, secondary is usually something like selective color or a mask with special color balance effects being used etc...
