I shot some early build footage with MacGregor out on the Salt Flats. He was the DP and owns then footy so you should contact him directly. We got some nice stuff and it was one of the first times I really saw IR pollution in some black fabrics.

But the commercial you showed us features a dry lake, not a salt flat, they´re different kind of dry lakes. You´ll probably want a dry lake for doing some fun stuff. Also they´re much more common.

The above was shot with our camera on the salt flats, I might be able to get you access to the 1080 version. PM me.

It was 90% RED (looked great), some EX1, my wife's HV20 as a lipstick camera for inside the car when it was going 225 and a few film shots. The footage from the other cameras was really noisy which I think is what inspired them to add noise and grain to everything else. The RED footage was properly exposed and looked great, it was "toyed" with in post.

Rent the feature film "Worlds Fastest Indian". (like the motorcycle) Nice film, great look with some inventive shots filmed at Utah's Bonneville Salt Flats.
