Hi People,
i am new here at this forum, but watching the RED just a long time. could somebody give me informations about this bayer cmos mysterium chip?
in videocameras (or is it only with ccd chips?) i know you got an filter, in front of the chip, that wouldn`t let pass any infrared lightrays. some cameras got the option to slide away this filter, and if you got infrared light, so thats it is what the industry calls super cats eye or nightshot modus.
how is it about in the RED. does this chip is capable to get the information of infrared rays or does this chip only could transform the same light like we see with our eyes.
i would be interesting to got the possibility also to shoot infrared-shots.
...yes, i am thinking of shooting at nightmodus, like paris hilton on his video "one night in paris" ,
but it would be more interesting to do your art like Vittorio Storaro in "Apocalypse Now REDux" the napalm explosions at the end where shot by infrared filmmaterial.
greetings manolo
