Since this is an issue for evrybody for a reason or an other, and we won't know for sure for a few months, I thought this would be usefull to get a general opinion.

I'm too lazy right now to go and search on dvxuser for the exact quote from Jim, but he did say they (Red) are planning to fulfill orders for reservation holders within three to four months after they start shipping. This was said after the initial reservations had closed. So that makes some one thousand cameras in 90 to 120 days (are they working week-ends ?), which makes for about 10 cameras a day.

But WHEN will they start shipping ?

Cheers,
Damien

10 units a day makes the most sens to me, but we'll see.
By the way my wife is from Zürich, and we shoot there sometimes.

I would say 10 per day...

The first 100 (heck - first 1000!) or so will have been tested and tweaked extensively, I'm sure. They do not want any bad press from the initial run.

What about an option from 11-49?

10-15 up to 20 as maximum per day (BTW, you forgot the category! :))

«Since we have received the reservations, we have been able to adjust the production output considerably and now think it will take about 3-4 months to satisfy all the reservation holders orders. We are working to see if we can reduce the time, but this is the current status.» ~ Jim Jannard in 11-06-2006
