Spain? It's just that he disappeared from this forum about the time shooting started in Spain. Probably not. Probably just a coincidence.

He's not in Spain but he IS on location preparing for a shoot. He mentioned he's going to be busy until September but he still checks the boards, I believe.

I'm a week away from starting shooting on a feature, out in New Jersey. I'm putting in 15 hours every day preparing for this show, mainly by shooting and creating a photographic storyboard for most of the movie, an approach our AD suggested. His 2nd AD has been using a comic book software to paste the photos together w/ text. We're filming in the same location for four weeks (a high school) so we've been able to spend the last two weeks, about 6 hours a day, walking around it (the director, me, and the AD) and create a shotlist and shoot stills. But I have some 100 photos per day to download in the evening, type up a shotlist to accompany it, relabel every photo w/ a scene and shot number, so I seem to finish at 11PM every evening, after starting my day at 8AM at the production office.

Wow David! Is that just different angles of locations? Without stand-ins, lights, etc.? That's a lot of photos.

It's great that you have so much prep time. It sounds like you guys are really going to town. BTW, who is the director?

Wow, are you the DoP on "Harold" with Cuba Gooding Jr and Spencer Breslin? If so, congratulations, sounds like a great project.

No, it's a movie called "The Sophomore", with Misha Barton in it. I'm using the digital stills as a chance to see what the rooms at the location look like in available light, though some are too dark for filming without some augmentation.

Mullen, just work hard and know that your favorite superfan is busy campaigning for your Farmer Oscar. :)

Finally, a picture of the elusive, yet accessible Mr. Mullen. Very much like I pictured you to look. And while your wife is attractive in a practical way, I gotta say that though the lady Redguy put up probably isn't marriage material, she certainly deserves good lighting for her closeup.
