Is there a chance there will be a screening in the big theater like last year on that Sony projector? (I remember being suprised with how little people attented that presentation. I guess this year will be different...)

Anyway, looking forward to it! Entry badge already lies waiting on my desk...

By the way (and of topic), does anybody know why a search on 'ibc' results in 0 items? Another proof of the darwinistic nature of forums (and internet all the same), where the quantity of the spreaded of genes (or memes) defines a lifespan.

D-Cinema is usually accessed with Exhibition pass.
Last years RED screening was Exhibition pass.
EDC / DCI sessions usually conference only.

Yep! I'll be there on Friday 7th. Any suggestions about other must-sees (thinking of accessories - tripods, dollies, cranes, steadicams, bags, lights, intervalometers, storage, archiving, monitors...)?

Somewhere between the two, larger footprint than last year, not the huge tent from NAB however. Workflow demos in the booth and a couple of Red One cameras. Screenings in the Big Theatre.

Will you need a special pass for the screening?
I'm not a reservation holder, but I'm going with a free pass (if you reserve before august 20th), but I'm dying to see the footage of Peter Jackson.
I'm not sure if I'll be able to go, but IF I go, that's the reason, so it would be nice to know if we need a special pass, or if it's open for everyone.
If someone from RED could chime in?

If you are thinking about going to IBC, I gotta warn you, those hotels are filling up awfully fast, spent some hours today trying to find a suitable hotel not too far away, I found one, but it didn´t come cheap.

I hope to see some other REDheads saturday evening for some beers and a good chat about RED!

I'll be in Amsterdam 6-10'th.

Last year I booked my hotel a few days before, and I ended up in a bed & brakfeast at the eastcoast. Took about 45 mins by train to get to the RAI center. Not bad at 38 euros per day though :-)

This time I booked friday last week, and got a 4 bed room close to the central station for €618 for 4 nights. I have gathered 3 other guys so it comes down to €154,5 per person. Pretty darn good!

Saturday is a great day.

There is no floor plan yet, so don't count on that arrow having GPS accuracy.....
It is somewhere in hall 7 though.
