I have a P+S 3D Rig, but I can't seem to genlock my cameras for the Tranvideo to work. Any ideas on how to genlock a Red.

The Gen 10 will genlock the recording pathways of the cameras, but not the monitoring outputs. Long story short, if you want to use the transvideo monitor, you need to run each camera through a genlocked frame synchronizer. Such as the AJA FS1 rackmount unit. You will run a BNC from each camera to an FS1 (one FS1 for each camera), and you will also need another gen10 feeding both FS1 units. Then set the output to follow input and then the HDSDI out on the FS1's will be genlocked +- 1 frame. Then run those BNC's back to the camera to your monitor. Then take your 4 BNC's and make a loom. It's a cumbersome solution but its the only way to get it to work that I've found so far.

Exactly what he said. 100%
I also heard that transvideo is working on a fix for this but it is still some time away.

As far as Mr Delacoux (Transvideo Founder) explain me, showcasing their 3D monitor, they'll have a card in the monitor that sync 2 REDs output ready for IBC.
I hope this could be feed with the same genlock gen we use for the cameras.
I really looking forward to have a complete solution with the Transvideo monitor, not just for the shutter glasses (that works great) but also for the plenty of different grids you can use to align cameras. This monitor is not just for monitoring is the best 3D tool I've seen so far.

When we are using RED cameras with our transvideo monitor, we are feeding the RED's with a tri-levelsync (AJA box).
Then a little special trick that works: change the output framerate on each camera, like 50p->60p and then back again, and voila the monitor syncs up with the cameras.

No need for the FS1s any more. Just use Build 21 and a Gen10 (or other tri-level sync generator) and you're done. Works like a dream...

Yes I tested this today with the new build and a transvideo monitor.
Upgraded the camera, plugged in the gen10 and the monitor and boom!
Works great. Thanks RED!
