Maybe this is a stupid question but how do you achieve a timebase of 30fps at 4k 16:9 while recording to the red drive.

I seem to max out at 25fps. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

don't remember off hand. You might need to change from REDCODE 36 to 28. Otherwise it might be 2:1 only

I'm basing it off of the website where it says you can do this.

quote:

REDCODE™36 4K 16:9

RED 8GB CF - N/A

RED 16GB CF - 25 fps

RED-DRIVE - 30 fps

RED-RAM - 30 fps

At 4K 16:9 going to a RED drive you can only achieve up to 25fps. IF you go 2:1 u can do 29.97.

One more thing, if u MUST record RC36 4K 16:9 at 30, the only game in town is RED-RAM. That being said, if u go to RC28 u can do it to the drive and even the CF16 cards.

Best of Luck.

So are the web site and manual incorrect? The manual says that with Varispeed, both the Red Drive and Red Ram can achieve 30fps at 4K 16:9 Redcode 36.

The Time Base framerates are 25fps max at 4K 16:9 Redcode 36 with both Red Ram and Red Drive.

What's the deal?!?!
